Background and basic description of the requirement: The Pike County School District has a fiber wide area network (WAN) connecting all schools, the Central Office, and all satellite locations enabling communication and collaboration throughout the school district. The current configuration is 12 sites connected at a dedicated 1 Gbps fiber connection to each location. All sites share a minimum 500 Mbps Internet. The proposed configuration response to the specification below must provide the Customer with educational technology that meets requirements specified within the RFP. 1) Network Equipment Requested includes: • Wireless Equipment license & support services 2) The Customer’s current Wi-Fi platform is Extreme wireless Cloud controller and Wireless Access Points. In all locations, the current wireless system is adequate, but the license for WAPs will begin expiring in February 2026. The Customer is looking for a vendor who can provide a quote for the renewal of the license for a. 1 Year Renewal b. 3 Year Renewal c. 5 Year Renewal The Customer will pick one or more of these options for renewing their license. The solution should include licensing for any management software, cloud licenses, and WLC licenses. The vendor shall supply all licensing for management software and/or cloud licensing costs. The customer currently has 281 WAPs.
