Specifications include, but are not limited to: ou. 1. The successful bidder must be bonded and licensed to do business in the State of Alabama. 2. The successful bidder will provide evidence of background investigation on all Uniformed Security Officers, including criminal history through fingerprinting, credit, physical, who are placed on the school campuses. Employees must be licensed by the State, as required. 3. The successful bidder will provide documentation and evidence that all Uniformed Security Officers placed on school campuses received appropriate training related to job related duties. 4. The successful bidder will provide a company profile demonstrating growth, stability and financial solvency. The documentation will show prior experience in security, and particular, competence in the field of school security. Profile shall include a reference list with a minimum of five companies, school districts, or government agencies to which bidder is currently providing similar successful security services. 5. The successful bidder will be requested to furnish Uniformed Security Officers as needed and upon demand at local school campuses. The Uniformed Security Officers will work eight hours per day, for a minimum of one hundred eighty days, Monday through Friday, beginning the first day of school for students, and ending the last day of school for students. The eight hour daily work schedule will be determined by the respective local school principal or the Director of the School System Security Department. The one hundred eighty days will be correlated with the adopted school calendar. Depending on school activities there may be times when the successful bidder may be asked to furnish Uniformed Security Officer(s) beyond the eight hour shift at the same rate of pay. 6. The successful bidder will provide to the school principal a substitute to be placed on the school campus in a timely manner upon notification that the regular assigned Uniformed Security Officer is absent. 7. Lunch and/or breaks for the Uniformed Security Officers will be determined by the school principal. 8. The Uniformed Security Officers will not carry firearms on any school campus. 9. Uniforms will be worn while the Uniformed Security Officer is on duty. This uniform is to be provided by the successful bidder. 10. The successful bidder will provide uniformed supervisory personnel to monitor the daily activities of Uniformed Security Officers placed on the school campuses. These supervisors will be available during the normal work schedule of the Uniformed Security Officers. These supervisors will maintain liaison and regular periodic contact with school principals and the Director of the School System Security Department. 11. The Uniformed Security Officers placed on school campuses will be under the supervision and direction of the school principal, his/her designee, and the Director of the School System Security Department
