The Alabama Department of Public Health (ADPH), Office of Health Equity and Minority Health (OHEMH), is seeking applications to provide comprehensive training on Mental Health to ADPH staff, community members, and educational institutions, specifically historically black colleges (HBCU) on mental health topics within our grant initiatives. The program’s objective is to provide the Train-theTrainer model, this will allow employees and community members to take these resources into offices and communities to assist with educating and training others on mental health. Mental health training will provide the skills needed to reach out and provide initial help and support to someone who may be developing a mental health problem or actively experiencing a crisis.
