2.1 Demolition and Removal ● Disconnect and safely remove two (2) existing 20-ton HVAC units. ● Proper disposal of removed equipment in accordance with environmental regulations. ● Protection of surrounding structures and finishes during removal. 2.2 Equipment Furnishing ● Furnish two (2) new commercial-grade 20-ton HVAC split-system units with 30kw heat strips (as specified). ● Units shall be ENERGY STAR rated or equivalent where applicable. ● Equipment shall meet or exceed ASHRAE, DOE, and Alabama Energy Code requirements. 2.3 Installation ● Install new HVAC units on existing or new structural supports as required. ● Connect to existing ductwork, electrical, and control systems. ● Provide new refrigerant lines, insulation, and condensate drainage as required. ● Install vibration isolation and weatherproofing. 2.4 Electrical and Controls ● Provide all electrical connections in compliance with NEC and local codes. ● Integrate with existing Building Management System (BMS), if applicable. ● Install thermostats and controls as required. ● Instillation for the electrical for the 30kw heat strips may be made as an alternate to the base bid. 2.5 Testing and Commissioning ● Start-up and test all installed equipment. ● Balance air distribution as required. ● Verify operational efficiency and safety. ● Provide commissioning report to the Owner.
