Specifications include, but are not limited to: Auburn University is requesting proposals for supplying a four compartment recycling/waste station bin for collecting sorted recyclable and waste materials inside university buildings. Auburn University has chosen the Clean River four compartment, front-loading cabinet bin to establish a level of quality. Below are the specifications for this bin: Four Compartment Front-loading Cabinet Bin: (Due to Auburn Universitys contractual obligations, no company logo branding is to be placed on these bins. Upon award of the contract, the bid recipient will submit all design approvals to the Auburn University Contract Representative.) Four compartment recycling/waste station bin with top access for depositing recycling and waste Currently, Auburn University will collect the following materials in each of the four cabinets: Cans & Bottles Cans & Bottles Mixed Paper Waste Each compartment will have a front door service access with a 22 Gallon rigid liner for each sorting compartment to contain recyclables and waste. Individual compartment design separating each collection streams. The four compartments joined together to form multiple compartment stations with a single backboard attachment to house eyelevel signage. Backboard to span all compartments of the station. Stations are to be manufactured from 5/8 Plastic Lumber (HDPE Type 2) with recycled content. Plastic lumber is resistant to moisture, liquids, oxidation, pest infestation, rusting, cracking, peeling, splitting and delaminating. Each compartment has front door access for removal of rigid liner. Front door to be smooth on the inside panel so rigid liners will not catch when being removed during regular service intervals. 22 gallon Rigid Liner in each compartment with lip at top of rigid liner to prevent bags from falling into liner. All edges of compartments to be smooth so no dirt and debris can accumulate on top, side or front of the station. Height and reach for hand sorting into lid openings not to exceed 47 from ground level. Eye level graphic signage (8.5x11) above each compartments opening. Signage is housed in the backboard and integral to the design of the back-board. Custom graphic signage and label to be full color (PMS) printed on vinyl with clear over-laminate. Graphic design by certified graphic designer. Each sign will be custom designed for clear identification of sorting requirements. The custom designs for each compartment are as follows: PMS 283 Cans & Bottles PMS 287 Mixed Paper PMS 5435 - Waste The university representative will approve all custom designs before cabinets are shipped. Signage to be easily changed with a screwdriver. Just remove screws, pull sign out, replace new sign and insert screws. Color of Station compartments and backboard will be Gray Magnetic door clasps
