Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Contractor shall provide all transportation, personnel, equipment, tools, supervision, and other items and services necessary to provide complete landscape and grounds maintenance on FMTC property. SOW will include but is not limited to, litter/debris removal, mowing, and trimming. Contractor will ensure that grounds maintenance is performed in a manner that will present a clean, neat, and professional appearance. Litter and Debris Removal: 1) Litter and debris are defined as objects that are unsightly or present obstacles to mowing and other grounds maintenance operations including but not limited to: rocks in turf areas, tree limbs, leaves, debris deposited or blown onto the sites, trash, paper, glass, etc. The Contractor is responsible for the removal/disposal of debris at an off-site location. 2) Leaf buildup shall be removed by the contractor on a regular basis. For heavy accumulation, such as seasonal buildup in the fall, the contractor will be expected to remove leaves in a reasonable period to ensure proper storm water drainage and prevent turf damage and erosion. The contractor shall continue leaf removal until all leaves are removed. This includes all areas that are maintained where leaves continue to collect during the winter months. Mowing: 1) Before each mowing, the contractor shall remove all debris and litter from the maintained areas. 2) Mowing shall be performed in a manner consistent with landscape maintenance industry standards that ensures smooth surface appearance without scalping or leaving any missed uncut grass. 3) Excess grass clippings should be removed from lawn to prevent turf damage. 4) The contractor will maintain grass height of 3 inches. All mowing equipment shall be adjusted to proper height with blades adequately sharpened. 5) Mowing shall be done in a manner that will avoid the rutting of turf and prevent soil erosion. Ruts made by contractor shall be repaired by contractor at the contractor’s expense.
