The City of Auburn is seeking qualified contractors to provide all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to ensure that preventative maintenance services are performed in a manner that will maintain the performance and function of the City’s critical generator systems and in accordance with the governing standards of NFPA 110, NEC, and other documents. At a minimum, Generator Preventative Maintenance Services shall consist of: 1. A thorough initial inspection of each generator at all listed facilities (conducted within 30 days of Notice to Proceed). a. The Contractor shall provide a list of any concerns and any necessary repairs that are identified during the initial inspection of each generator at all the listed facilities. 2. Semiannual Generator Preventative Maintenance (twice per year, and occurring approximately six months apart), which shall include performing an inspection of: Starting system, Oil & Lube system, Cooling system, Electronic monitoring system, Exhaust system, Safety control system, connections, Fuel system and any filter, oils, fluids that need replacing. 3. Starting and running the generator to its operating temperature to diagnose correct operation of the unit, which shall be conducted during every service visit. 4. Annual Load Bank testing at each of the listed facilities. 5. Annual sampling and testing of Fuel for contaminates and quality of the fuel with a written report of findings.
