1. Weed Removal Remove all existing weeds, dead shrubs and grass from the area. Rake the soil to clear out remaining roots, leaves, and debris. Level the soil surface to provide an even base for fabric and planting. 2. Placing Filter (Landscape) Fabric Once the area is weed-free and level, roll out landscape fabric (weed barrier). Overlap adjacent pieces of fabric by at least 6 inches to prevent gaps. Secure the fabric with landscape pins or staples at the edges and seams. Cut X-shaped slits in the fabric at each plant location for new shrubs 3. Shrubbery Design Plant year-round greenery such as boxwood, juniper, holly as recommended 4. Add Mulch or River Rock After planting, cover fabric with 2–3 inches of mulch (shredded bark or wood chips) or river rock All correspondence must be made through the Vendor Portal.
