Auburn University is seeking sealed bids for toxicology (drug) testing and specimen collection for the Department of Athletics. Please provide a bid within the listed standards below as your primary proposal along with any additional recommend drug(s) or bundle programs. If you provide additional testing capabilities or have specific recommendations, please list as a secondary proposal or as a special options recommendation. Lab must have a background of at least five (5) years providing testing for collegiate athletic programs. Lab must be able to handle legal concerns associated with collegiate and professional sports as it relates to drug testing and positive test results. Lab must normalize test results at no extra cost. Sample screening must check for adulterants on each sample. Lab must do all tests at their in-house lab (standard drug tests and anabolic steroid tests). Lab must be able to provide a 24-hour turn-around on all negative tests and a 24- to 48-hour turnaround on all positive tests. Anabolic steroid tests need a seven (7) day turn around on all results. Specimen validity is a requirement checking nitrites, chromates, and specific gravity. Provide costs for both urine collection and oral fluid collection. Collection Services Provide a bid for onsite collection services for drug testing. A third party may provide the collection services; however, all billing should be via the winning bidder.
