Specifications include, but are not limited to: Straw Application Pine Straw, weed and grass removal, and pre-emergent application- • Unit Price represents total costs for (1) pine straw application, (1) time service labor to remove existing weeds and grass from bed and application area, and (2) pre-emergent applications. • Apply pre-emergent per chemical manufacture’s temperature application guidelines to prevent summer weeds and winter weeds. • Apply (2) applications of pre-emergent chemicals early spring and summer. • Remove all grass and weeds from beds and application area. • Beds and Application area shall be free of weeds and grass. • Vendor shall supply round bundles of pine straw for beds and application area. • Pine straw coverage must be adequate to minimize sunlight getting to base of beds. • Vendor shall after Pine straw is laid down, edges of pine straw are to be blown and tucked under. • Awarded vendor to assure pine straw does not interfere with irrigation system performance. • Work shall be performed during regular work hours, M-F, 8:00 AM – 3:30 pm, no weekends.
