The Alabama Department of Rehabilitation Services (ADRS) is seeking proposals from qualified suppliers to conduct a comprehensive statewide needs assessment for vocational rehabilitation (VR) services. This assessment will guide strategic planning, improve service delivery, and ensure compliance with federal mandates underthe Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as amended by the Workforce innovation and Opportunity Act (WiOA). The purpose of the project is to assess the rehabilitation needs of individuals with disabilities, particularly the vocational rehabilitation services needs of: Individuals with the most significant disabilities, including their need for supported employment services: Individuals with disabilities who are minorities and individuals with disabilities who have been unserved or underserved by the vocational rehabilitation program; Individuals with disabilities served through other components of the statewide workforce investment system, as identified by those individuals and personnel assisting those individuals through the components of the system; An assessment of the need to develop or improve outcomes for individuals who attend Community Rehabilitation Programs within the State, including the Lakeshore Rehabilitation Facility.
