• Design and Engineering: Complete system design (electrical, mechanical, civil) for a BESS that integrates with the existing 1.3 MW solar array and the electric bus charging infrastructure (short time peak load ~2.2 MW). The design must include a single-line diagram, layout, protection scheme, and controls architecture. • All necessary permits, code compliance documentation, and safety approvals are to be obtained by the Contractor. • Equipment and Installation: Provision of all equipment and materials for a functional BESS, including battery modules/racks, power conversion system (PCS/inverters), transformers (if needed for grid interconnection), climatecontrolled enclosures, fire suppression system, and an Energy Management System (EMS). Installation shall cover all site work, cabling, interconnection to the facility’s electrical system, and physical integration with solar PV and charger systems. • Testing and Commissioning: The Contractor will perform factory acceptance testing (FAT) on major components, and on-site commissioning tests including acceptance testing, performance verification, and safety tests. A detailed commissioning plan (covering design validation, functional testing of all modes, and system performance demonstration) must be provided for Owner review. The BESS will be considered accepted only after it demonstrates compliance with the specified performance (continuous 2 MW discharge, peak 2.2 MW output, and 8 MWh storage capacity) and safety standards under test conditions. • Training and Documentation: The Contractor must provide on-site training sessions for the Owner’s staff (operators, technicians, and first responders) on BESS operation, safety, and maintenance procedures. Comprehensive documentation – including as-built drawings, equipment datasheets, protection settings, EMS user manuals, standard operating procedures, and emergency response plans – must be furnished prior to final handover.
