The scope of work includes the successful firm required to provide all professional and technical services as needed to complete the ADA Building Improvements as outlined in the “East Alabama Regional Planning and Development Commission Americans with Disabilities Act Transition Plan 2023”. (See: https://earpdc.org/ada/) This includes to fully plan, design, and develop construction plans and specifications, prepare bid documents, solicit and evaluate construction bids, prepare contract, and provide in-process and final construction inspections to ensure the full, satisfactory, and timely construction. The successful firm shall also ensure full compliance with all activities with applicable federal and state regulations, including, but not limited to compliance with Davis-Bacon Act and other federal requirements. All aspects of the project shall follow Federal Transit Administration procurement and project management regulations, including 1 CFR Part 200 and FTA Circular 4220.1G. and EARPDC Procurement Policies, as well as Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Program requirements. The project may include, but is not limited to, clearing of all contents of the men’s and women’s bathroom on the 3rd floor of Quintard Tower and construction of new ADA compliant bathrooms, striping handicap parking spaces, installing tactile signs within Quintard Tower as recommended by the Plan, work within the conference room and waiting area as outlined in the Plan.
