The Town of Mead is requesting proposals from qualified full-service materials testing and special inspection Firms/Consultants to provide all disciplines of material testing and special inspections for various capital improvement projects with local, state or federal funding.
The Town of Mead has several projects in various stages of planning, design, and construction. The Town’s need for construction materials testing and special inspections will vary according to the intent and nature of each project. The plans and specifications will be made available to the construction materials testing and special inspection consultant during design, and/or prior to construction, to assist in developing a detailed scope of services and budget for project specific special inspection services.
At this time, the Town has the 3rd & Welker Intersection Improvement Project scheduled to begin construction in 2024, which will require use of this contract for material testing and special inspection services. Please see appendices for the Fee Schedule to be used to develop the fee for this proposal.
The successful firm/consultant will address all the tasks, issues, and requested information in their proposal, possess the requisite skills, experience, and manpower necessary to produce high quality deliverables on time and on budget, and be motivated to work with Town staff, other funding partners’ staff, and citizens to accomplish the project goals.
The Town reserves the right to award to a single firm/consultant or multiple consultants if determined to be in the best interest of the Town. The Town may also extend the contract with the contracted firm for future public infrastructure projects on an on-call basis.
