The Center for Environmental Management of Military Lands (CEMML), a center of excellence within the Warner College of Natural Resources at Colorado State University, is a leading global provider of research and sustainable management of natural and cultural resources on federal lands. CEMML is seeking a qualified contractor to assist the Air Force to identify and manage cultural resources, including archaeological sites and Traditional Cultural Properties, under the National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA), Archaeological Resources Protection Act (ARPA), and various Department of Defense and Air Force directives, instructions, policies, and the Legacy Resource Management Program (Title 10 US Code 2694). Air Force Instruction (AFI) 32-7065, Cultural Resource Management Program (2015), Air Force Instruction 90-2002, AF Interactions with Federally-Recognized Tribes, states the Air Force’s policy for managing cultural resources to support the military mission and comply with legal mandates.
