Description

BACKGROUND: The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) has approximately 3,100 employees located across the State in service areas, such as maintenance, engineering, professional, and administrative staff in 5 Regions and CDOT Headquarters (HQ). The Division of Human Resources wants to automate the ordering of employee service awards through an online website and integrate the website with an online employee store for employees to order CDOT branded items. CDOT will not maintain stock for service awards or the CDOT Employee Store.

ONLINE SERVICE AWARDS: CDOT Division of Human Resources has been providing service awards to its employees for at least 25 years. Service awards such as a gift and a pin with the years of service are presented to employees in 5 year increments and are purchased on a quarterly basis.

ONLINE EMPLOYEE STORE: The CDOT Employee Store is a website where CDOT employees and retirees can purchase and pay for as many or as few items as they would like. CDOT supervisors may use the online employee store to purchase items for employee recognition and safety recognition awards.
