Specifications include, but are not limited to: Sublette County School District # 1 seeks proposals for a new High School Gym Floor. The District is planning to remove the existing bleachers, flooring and asbestos (separate projects), and install new flooring (this project) and bleachers (separate project) before school begins in August 2023. Vendor will install the high school gym flooring. The current flooring will be removed as well as the underlying asbestos. The asbestos may be encapsulated and not entirely removed. Installation of the new flooring should be on top of any encapsulated asbestos. The Vendor will be responsible to dispose of any waste, excess materials, packing, or other items. 1) Concrete Subfloor b. Current concrete subfloor is existing. All asbestos will be abated or encapsulated and ready for installation of new flooring. i. Currently we do not know the condition of the existing subflooring. Some adjustments may be necessary for level and height of the final flooring. ii. The installer shall verify slab tolerance of concrete and report any corrections to the Director of Operations. iii. The space shall be broom cleaned and free of any foreign debris. iv. The install shall document site and working conditions prior to and during installation. The documentation may become part of any warranty. 2) Vapor Retarder a. Polyethylene – 6 mil (0.15mm) or greater 3) Subfloor a. Pre-manufactured plywood panels with pre-attached pads. Allowable submissions will be Robbins Eclipse, Connor RezillBase 111, Action Excel AR, PowerPlay Cradle APA with Infinity/Aacer ECO pads pre-attached, or similar. 4) Flooring a. 25/32” (20mm) x 2-1/4” (57mm) 2nd and Better grade northern Hard Maple flooring, TGEM, MFMA grade marked and stamped by the manufacturer. 5) Fasteners a. Flooring – 2” (38mm) barbed cleats or staples. b. Subfloor – 1” (25mm) coated staples or equivalents. c. Concrete Anchors – 2” (51mm) modified steel drive pins, or length as dictated by site conditions for 1” (25mm) minimum penetration into concrete. 6) Game Lines and Logos a. Lines for both basketball and volleyball i. Must meet Wyoming High School Standards for courts the length of the court ii. Cross court lines for volleyball (2 courts) and basketball (2courts) iii. Racquetball lines iv. Ladder and agility dots b. Logos i. “Pinedale” on one end and “Wranglers” on the other. ii. “Wrangler” logo mid court. c. Pole vault pit installed in the flooring. d. This gym floor is used daily during the school year for physical education classes. e. Compatible with finish and layout design.
