Specifications include, but are not limited to: THE Contractor shall furnish all supervision, technical personnel, labor, materials, machinery, tools, equipment and services, including utility and transportation services, and perform and complete all work required for the construction of the following general description: Furnishing materials, equipment and labor for the 2023 Crack Seal Project ; The Contractor shall be held responsible for any damage to and for maintenance and protection of all utilities, monuments and existing structures. The Contractor is responsible for providing flagmen, adequate barricades of high visibility design, flares, lanterns, signs, and pre-warning devices to alert the public, motorists and pedestrians of hazardous conditions. It shall be the responsibility of the Contractor to ensure that all traffic control complies with the latest version of the Manual for Uniform Traffic Control Devices, MUTCD. This work shall consist of routing and/or cleaning and drying, if necessary, and sealing all cracks in existing asphalt pavement in streets or areas designated by the Engineer, in accordance with this specification. Work required for preparation of the cracks and all sealing shall be done in accordance with the sequence and/or time restrictions indicated in this specification or as directed by the Engineer. The Contractor shall furnish and set up all items including, but not limited to, required traffic control, work staging area, cleanup prior to and after project duration. All cracks shall be sealed. Cracks less than three-eighths (3/8”) inch in width shall be routed to one-half (1/2”) inch in width and a minimum of three-fourths (3/4”) inch in depth, unless otherwise directed. All cracks wider than three-eighths (3/8”) inch shall require routing, unless otherwise directed.
