Specifications include, but are not limited to: Poligon’s HXE-28TG and HXE-20TG serve as the “basis for design” for the “small” (HXE-20TG) and “large” (HXE-28TG) shelters being sought. Shelters shall have a 16” O.C. standing seam metal primary roof and a 2x6 tongue-and-groove secondary roof. All shelter designs must allow access for the installation of wiring / standard outlet in at least one post. Hidden fastener roofing is preferred – hip cap/roof cap portions exempted. Exposed fastener metal roofing as commonly installed will not be accepted. The shelters shall be manufactured with columns that include blind hardware for mounting to footings. The shelters shall have a minimum 10-year warranty, and shall have a Kynar 500 painted, metal roof. The shelters shall be manufactured and designed for a typical footing at least 4’ deep. The shelter frames shall be finished with a zinc rich primer and shall be powder coated. Standard roof color shall be ‘dark green’ or equivalent; standard structure color shall be ‘almond’ or equivalent. Colors of one or more structures may vary from these standards but will be selected from manufacturer’s color palette offerings. Final color samples for the frame and roof shall be sent prior to manufacturing for confirmation by the City. Color samples shall be sheet metal with a minimum size of 2” x 3”, powder coated on both sides. Delivery of two (2) one-quart paint cans of each color of paint on the shelters should be included for repair purposes. The 2”x6” tongue and groove secondary roof shall receive a clear-coat (colorless) sealer, and shall not be stained. The sealer shall be submitted for approval by the Parks Division.
