Specifications include, but are not limited to: The SUDC services requested, include providing treatment at DAI facilities. The program is administered within the DOC and designed in a manner in which a participant may successfully complete all program components in a timeframe of 14-20 weeks. The SUD Programs are voluntary; however all program elements are mandatory. Program components are structured around discipline and rehabilitative programming using a cognitive approach. The programming includes individual counseling and SUD treatment groups, including groups with a focus on cognitive behavioral treatment, anger management treatment, domestic violence and employment. The “CBI-SA” curriculum is used at facilities with male program participants. The mission of the SUD Program is to provide program participants, incarcerated at DAI facilities, with the opportunity to gain the personal resources needed to return to the community, to successfully complete parole/extended supervision, and to remain crime and chemical free. Upon discharge from the program, the SUDC will make recommendations for future treatment, if needed. If an individual is eligible for the Earned Release Program (ERP) or the Challenge Incarceration Program (CIP), they may earn release to the community upon completion of the program.
