Specifications include, but are not limited to: Phase 1 of the project will include a wetland mitigation bank site search, property owner contacts, conceptual site design and budget for the construction of the wetland mitigation bank which may be utilized by the Highway Department and other potential clients to meet the requirements of the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers and the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources. The site search will consist GIS analysis, field reviews, and feasibility review of a minimum of 5 sites of at least 30 acres. The feasibility review shall provide analysis on items such as site accessibility, adjacency to other wetland banks or natural sites, anticipated land acquisition costs, and constructability. Sites within the Little Plover River Watershed are preferred due to current efforts by multiple agencies to enhance this watershed. It is also the watershed that is anticipated to be impacted by a future CTH R road improvement project with potential wetland fills.
