Specifications include, but are not limited to: In general the work consists of removing and reconstructing the existing pedestrian bridge/ramp serving as the emergency fire exit for the Williams Center Gym 1. The bridge area is approximately 2,500 SF and consists of a two span concrete slab. The south end will be supported along the edge of the building and the north end supported at the approach retaining wall. One concrete pier will support the bridge at approximately the 1/3 point of the bridge. The project also consists of removal and replacement of the retained earth ramp leading up to the bridge. This area is approximately 3,400 SF and the new construction will consist of concrete sidewalk over a mechanically stabilized earth (MSE) wall system with concrete panel facing. The existing entrance vestibule located on top of the ramp structure at the building entrance will be salvaged and reinstalled. The steps along the west side of the retaining wall ramp approach will be removed and replaced. All associated pedestrian walkways, site improvements and landscaping will be reconstructed to meet ADA requirements.
