Specifications include, but are not limited to: 6.4.1 Maintenance responsibilities include, but not limited to, providing all equipment and wiring necessary to deliver programming up to, and including, the individual hook-ups. A program of preventive maintenance and regular replacement of worn, damaged or malfunctioning equipment owned by the Contractor shall be instituted and carried out by the Contractor. All associated infrastructure delivering service will be the responsibility of the Contractor to replace/deliver at their cost. The University shall not perform maintenance or repair on any equipment serviced by the Contractor. University shall be responsible for routine day-to-day maintenance of drops. All equipment to be maintained by the Contractor in a clean and safe condition. 6.4.2 Upgrades to existing equipment serviced/installed by the Contractor are the responsibility of the Contractor. Upon the end of the contract all upgraded equipment will become the property of the University. Contractor will also be responsible for any upgrades to the existing equipment used to provide UW Oshkosh Owner Access to the six (6) channels dedicated for University use. All upgraded or replaced equipment will become property of UW Oshkosh upon termination of the contract or will be removed by Contractor at UW Oshkosh’s request under UWO’s supervision. 6.4.3 The Contractor shall be responsible for the protection of existing building surfaces, both interior and exterior, utilities, exterior constructions, pavement, sidewalks, trees, and plant materials, irrigation systems, and all component parts, equipment and furnishings. Damage noticed at the time of installation shall be brought to the attention of the University prior to placement of items in that such damage may otherwise be considered the responsibility of the Contractor. Should the Contractor cause damage, the cost of restoring the areas to products to their original condition shall be at the expense of the Contractor. Necessary repairs to the building shall be under the University’s supervision. 6.4.4 The Contractor shall supervise and direct the work according to the specifications and plans. The Contractor shall be solely responsible for all means, methods, techniques, sequences, and procedures and for coordinating all portions of work under contract. A superintendent shall be on site at all times while work is in progress. No worker under the age of 18 shall be on the job site. 6.4.5 The Contractor shall at all times keep the premises free from accumulation of waste materials caused by his employees or the work. Upon completion of the project, and prior to final acceptance, the Contractor shall have the premises in a neat and clean condition. 6.4.6 The Contractor is responsible for disposal of all waste generated as a result of their contract. No trash or other waste materials are allowed to be placed in any University trash containers, litter containers, or dumpsters. No chemical or other liquid or solid wastes are allowed to enter storm sewers. The use of sanitary sewer drains for liquid disposal shall be in accordance with the manufacturer’s requirements and only with prior approval by the University. The University reserves the right to determine the appropriate location for sanitary sewer disposal or to deny the use of sanitary sewers for certain materials. The Contractor assumes all liability for improper waste disposal and for repaying the University expenses which may result from violations of this section.
