Specifications include, but are not limited to: All shafts shall be of one-piece construction. Indent print the steel pole arm length or shat length and the manufacturer name (first two letters of the name of the manufacturer), in 2 locations on the side of the pole base plate, 180 degrees apart. Anchor Bolts shall be aligned vertical. Base plate shall be placed so that it is at right angles to anchor bolts so that leveling nuts are flush in full contact with the base plate. Cambering shall be achieved in the arm. Detail connection bolt circle (at upright to pole flange plate connection) the same for all arms, 15’ thru 30’, so they are interchangeable for the common pole design. A reinforced hand hole located as shown on the attached drawing along with the access cover shall be provided. Design for maximum allowable hand hole not less than size 4-1/2” x 10” with cover assembly with two ¼” x ¾” –20 TPI stainless steel hex head bolts. The hand hole shall be 18 inches from the bottom of the pole base plate, to the center of the door. A stainless steel grounding lug (bolt-hex head), complete with stainless steel mounting hardware (bolt, nut, washer and lock washer) as required shall be provided inside the pole in accordance with and as shown on the drawing 9E-12-1e. It shall be accessible from the hand hole and mounted by welding, directly opposite the hand hole on the inside wall of the pole.
