Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1.1 Intensive monitoring of youth justice (YJ) teens: Provides weekend supervision and monitoring in person and by phone of adjudicated youth at home for a visit from an out of home placement, YJ youth or Juveniles in Need of Protection or Services (JIPs) being sanctioned by or as a condition of the court and those youth on aftercare from a correctional placement. Supervision may also include administering a drug screen or breathalyzer at the request of the social worker. 1.2 Supervised Parent Child interaction with safety checks: Coordinates and supervises and/or monitor parents and children during regular and frequent interaction periods. Supervised Interactions consist of continual observation of all interaction within both sight and sound of the provider. Monitored Interactions consist of periodic observations. These supervised and monitored visits may take place evenings and weekends as well as during usual business hours. On occasion, Provider will administer a drug screen to the client before or during a visit or during a safety check to ensure safety and monitor sobriety The supervision can take place at any safe location based on parenting skills and safety considerations. Purchaser has a supervised visitation room available. The Purchaser, in consultation with the Provider, may authorize an alternate appropriate location. The library, parks, playgrounds, or the caregiver’s home are places where supervision has been provided in the past. 1.3 Supervised Household and Financial management involved with Child Protective Services: The Provider will assist parents in bringing an environmentally unsafe and unsanitary home to a basic level of cleanliness and stability so that the children are safe from illness and injury from the environment and/or from a lack of supervision and/or appropriate care. This means that staff will work alongside the family members to accomplish an initial level of cleanliness and safety.
