Specifications include, but are not limited to: All ESS workers must be at least 18 years of age. ESS workers must have all of the following: A minimum of 15 credits of post-secondary education Basic Microsoft application computer skills and knowledge to include but not limited to Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. A valid driver’s license A minimum of two years’ licensed driving experience (i.e., held a valid driver’s license for a minimum of two years). ; standard ESS work week is 40 hours divided into five (5) workdays of eight (8) hours each with an unpaid lunch period of 45 minutes. ; acilitate all PIOC assigned to the DAI facility have proper identification documents to begin a private sector work assignment or that necessary documents are requested from the issuing authority within two (2) working days of the PIOC’s reception at the DAI facility. Drive state vehicle to provide PIOC with transportation to obtain identification documentation, employment interviews, clothing or tools necessary to begin employment and/or transportation to and from a work site. Assist PIOC to obtain clothing or tools necessary to begin a job or crew assignment. Work with each PIOC in identifying work skills for prospective employers, creating resume and cover letters, developing/improving interview skills, entering on-line applications, and performing other job readiness activities. Attend local job fairs and/or recruit new local employers to participate in the work release program. In collaboration with DOC staff, orient PIOC to work site performance expectations; communicate with PIOC and employers via telephone or personal visits to assess performance and adjustment issues; and work with PIOC and employers to verify hours of work expectations.
