Specifications include, but are not limited to: 4.2.1 Proposer shall provide assessment, referral to community based resources, and follow up services to employees and their household experiencing job-related and/or personal problems and up to six (6) in-person counseling sessions per presenting problem, per person, per year. A year is defined as 12 months from the date of the first counseling session for each presenting problem.4.2.1.1 For non-urgent cases (i.e. generalized anxiety or an issue with a supervisor) following the intake process, Proposer must provide the EAP client with access to an in-person counselor within 3 business days from the initial contact.4.2.1.2 For urgent cases (i.e. death of a family member or termination of employment), following the intake process, Proposer must offer and provide the EAP client with in-person counseling services on the next business day unless otherwise requested by theEAP client. If next day services are not accepted, the proposer must provide the EAP client with in-person counseling within 3 business days from the initial contact.4.2.1.3 For emergency cases (i.e. imminent risk to themselves or others), Proposer must involve law enforcement and/or other appropriate professionals. The Proposer will maintain engagement with the EAP client until the client has been transferred to law enforcement, family member, hospital, or other appropriate resource. 4.2.2 If an independent contractor, someone who is employed by a third party yet provides services to the State, has had exposure to a traumatic event occurring during work hours, the Proposer shall provide assessment, referral to community based resources and follow up services if requested by the independent contractor's employer of record. The employer of record shall request these services on a case by case basis and any and all costs associated will be at the expense of the employer of record. These services shall be charged at a fixed hourly rate as stated on the Proposer's Cost Proposal.
