Specifications include, but are not limited to: Above all else, UW-Madison is seeking a fully integrated research administration system. As much as we possibly can, the goal of this project will be to provide more of a one-stop-shop user experience for faculty and staff across the university. We don’t want our users logging into, and out of, systems to complete their work. The benefits that that UW-Madison is seeking to realize through this initiative: A system that helps faculty to spend more time focusing on research and less on administrative requirements. Ideally, a one-stop-shop for our faculty and PIs. Better data, and easily obtainable data, to support compliance. Increased administrative capacity through reduced manual data entry and streamlined workflows. Contract negotiation and contract management capabilities. A single solution that can support critical research administration needs. Primarily in pre-award, non-financial compliance, and workflow, that can integrate into a cloud-based ERP financial system. UW-Madison seeks a fully developed research administration system that will provide key functions that include, but is not limited to, the following: Proposals - creation, review and submission, etc. Awards - Review, negotiation, acceptance and set-up Subaward management - Issuance, management Post-award Management - Deliverables, post-award workload management Research Contracting capabilities - Funded and Unfunded Research Agreements Robust reporting Configurable & automated workflows Integration/interface - PeopleSoft Financials and HR, external systems, university systems, and a new ERP Oracle Cloud or Workday.
