Specifications include, but are not limited to: DOC Bureau of Health Services (BHS) has an extensive inventory of medical equipment, including but not limited to oxygen machines, blood pressure cuffs, electrocardiogram machines, treadmills, IV pumps, dopplers, refer to Attachment A for a complete list. These pieces of equipment are located throughout the State at each of the Health Service Units in DOC Institutions and Centers There are approximately 40 sites. Emergency and non-emergency repairs need to be completed to keep the equipment in precise working order. Additionally performing preventive maintenance on a scheduled basis is required. These type of Biomedical Services require trained, certified biomedical technicians. The Contractor will be required to follow the manufacturer’s preventative maintenance (PM) schedule and maintain an ongoing maintenance record at each DOC location that includes their professional recommendation for any repairs needed. In fiscal year 2018, BHS spent approximately $80,000 on this service.
