University of Wisconsin-Madison’s Department of Biomolecular Chemistry is requesting bids for a Bessel Beam Lattice Light Sheet Microscope. The lattice light sheet microscopy system will be used in the UW-Madison Optical Imaging Core (UWOIC) facility for the imaging of specimens grown on glass coverslips. Lattice light sheet microscopy limits photodamage to cells and is thus superior to widefield, confocal, and other imaging-based approaches to collect fluorescence throughout full cellular volumes. The lattice light sheet microscope must serve a wide range of users. Thus, we require a system that is compatible with the use of glass coverslips onto which cells are grown (all users that use the facility are accustomed to preparing cells in this manner for imaging).
