Specifications include, but are not limited to: a) Respondent shall have the ability to provide translation for English to every major language, including but not limited to: Spanish, French, German, Italian, Hmong (White), Arabic, Somali, Burmese, Karen S’gaw, Chin, Hindi, Thai, Bengali, Tigrinya, and Rohingya (“Listed Language(s)”). b) Respondent shall have the ability to provide various translation related tasks, inclusive of revision and proofreading, from English to other languages, including, but not limited to: i. Translation of major publications. ii. Translation of media materials (Press releases, letters from the Superintendent, media advisories, fact sheets, letters to parents, invitations to meetings, nutrition documents), usually of 600 words of less with a rapid turnaround (24 hours or less). iii. Translation of curricular materials, usually over 20,000 words. iv. Translation of any other documents as required. c) Respondent shall have the ability to update databases and documents as required, and amend the vocabulary and style following the recommendations made by MPS’ reviewers. Shall have the ability to update translation memories (e.g. Trados, MemoQ) and documents as required, and amend the vocabulary and style following the recommendations made by MPS’ reviewers. MPS reserves the right to reject a translation when internal review finds the quality is not acceptable. MPS will release funds for payment upon delivery of a satisfactory final product.
