Specifications include, but are not limited to: BED: Two inch (2") solid white oak deck with full length bed support, 84" x 18' minimum with approximately three inch (3") high steel edges (or lip) at sides and front to prevent load from rolling off. The length shall be composed of a flat eighteenfoot (18') deck plus a three foot (3') beaver tail with six inch (6") drop. Both flat and beaver tail portions to be wood decking. BED HEIGHT: Not to exceed twenty-five inches (25") from ground. RAMP: Adjustable ladder ramp, torsion assisted, hinged ramp. Ramp length to be approximately 60". Ramps will be secured in a vertical position for traveling. Each ramp section shall require no more than 50 pounds lifting force throughout the entire range of motion. Ramps shall be capable of supporting equipment weighing up to the capacity of the trailer. (NOTE: Tilt bed-type trailers are unacceptable.) BRAKES: Hydraulic, surge type, meeting or exceeding minimum DOT standards. All brakes lines shall be nickel copper brake line except where movement of the axle precludes this requirement.
