Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City of Milwaukee is seeking proposals from qualified parties for ARP Commodity Contract for Two (2) Dual Graphite Furnace/Flame Atomic Absorption Spectrometers for one (1) year from the date of award. The City is making major investments in the MHD Lead Abatement Program and wants to move forward in a coordinated fashion. MHDL anticipates a significant increase in dust wipe and drinking water testing. In addition, the MHDL has seen an increased interest in community soil testing, reference testing for blood lead, and collaborations with other regional partners regarding drinking water requirements. Thus, the need for Dual AAs, ability to increase capacity, and capability to accurately and efficiently switch between flame and graphite furnace is paramount. Additionally, as program needs change, the flexibility to monitor multiple metals is essential (e.g. lead and copper for drinking water, potassium for soil nutrients, etc.).
