Specifications include, but are not limited to: Selected Grant Writer will contract with the College as soon as the contract has been awarded to provide the following services related to the FY 2020 TRIO Student Support Services competition: Project Development: Participate in project development meetings and make suggestions to increase the fundability of proposed activities. Proposal Development: Act as project manager during proposal’s development. Coordinate with relevant College employees. Meetings’ format, frequency, and other details will be negotiated to produce the greatest ROI of Grant Writer’s time. Grant writing: Write proposal narrative. Prepare required attachments (budget, competitive preference priorities, etc.). Ensure proposal’s strict compliance with RFP requirements, such as formatting. Proposal Tracking: Track proposal development milestones, such as submission deadlines. Report progress to relevant College employees and adjust proposal development process as needed. The following duties will be performed by College employees in support of contract Grant Writer’s work: Proposal Development: Organize and coordinate other relevant College employees. Provide College institutional data. Supply budget assistance from College’s fiscal staff. Liaise with College leadership. Maintain proposal documentation. Proposal Submission: Prepare and submit proposal documentation to US Department of Education. Follow up with funders after proposal submission. Grant Management: Manage ongoing relationships with funders and collaborative partners. Implement funded proposals. Fulfill College’s post-award responsibilities. All work must comply with College, state, and federal guidelines. The Contract Grant Writer is expected to follow commonly accepted rules of ethical conduct as defined by professional grant writing associations, such as the Puget Sound Grant writers Association, AFP, and CASE.
