Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Procure, install, configure, test, provide staff training and go live with a new robust software system that has exceptional vendor support. 2. Improve our overall business processes in an effort to increase efficiencies to bring more value to our customers 3. Improve: a. System stability (upgrades, network communications, up time, etc.) b. Communication i. Scale house to scale connectivity and redundancy, ii. scale house to back office connectivity and redundancy iii. Credit card processing c. Move video cameras to separate standalone server so that accessing large image/video files won’t impact core application 4. Potential nice to have items we want to explore a. Replace homegrown data sync tool (on Valley server) that connects scale houses to each other and to back office on County Campus (i.e. transaction at North Transfer Station registers in back office server and needs to be passed to Valley Transfer Station so all are in sync) b. Enhanced ability for commercial customers to self-service (i.e. unmanned gates that operate off of RFIDs on trucks, or other ideas) c. Improved reader boards that identify scale weight d. License readers that capture vehicle and license image to scale data for auditing, drive off (without paying) investigations, etc. e. Ability to add other fees as required and to keep historic table of past rates f. Minimize spreadsheet usage for data tracking
