Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Port of Seattle (PORT) is seeking proposals from qualified suppliers and firms to provide an onpremise Perimeter Intrusion Detection System (PIDS) at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (STIA), that provides a geo-fence like solution to deliver common geo-fence perimeter security picture and proactive analytics, in a timely manner to anticipate, alert, mitigate to aptly respond to potential and actual intrusions. The proposed system would NOT be connected to the physical perimeter or fence line. Furthermore, PIDS will enhance existing surveillance capabilities on the defined perimeter by providing tracking and detection of targets in real-time. The combination of the capabilities of the PIDS and integration with existing systems will enhance the PORTs security effectiveness and efficiency. The proposed solution must be scalable, supporting future expansion of the PIDS. Future expansion might include (but is not limited to) integration with new systems, new sensors, changes to STIA’s physical infrastructure and associated changes to airport map, modification of business rules/workflows, changes to data fields, and the tracking of additional entities/events.
