Specifications include, but are not limited to: Duties of assigned security personnel will be as follows on an as needed basis: Receive bagged remains that are Medical Examiner cases from funeral homes and transport companies. Assist funeral home personnel in transferring bodies and completing paperwork. Maintain written chain of custody in receiving remains, personal effects, and paperwork. Answer phone for routine questions or refer caller to on-call pathologist. Report any unusual activity inside the building, on the grounds, and/or with visitors. Ensure doors are locked after use. The Contractor shall: Furnish all labor, equipment, materials, and supplies required to provide security service for OCME’s buildings, equipment, and grounds and to provide protection against breaches of the peace, disruptive activities, damage, vandalism, and loss from theft. Employ a sufficient number of experienced security personnel to adequately perform all the specified services herein in the frequency and at the standards specified. All Security Service personnel shall meet the following criteria: Arrive for work in clean uniform and maintain a neat personal appearance Report for duty promptly and be prepared to perform their duties effectively.
