Specifications include, but are not limited to: THE COUNTY OF FAIRFAX, VIRGINIA, Department of Public Works and Environmental Services (DPWES) is soliciting Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) from Construction Managers (CMs) interested in providing pre-construction and construction services for the Tysons Wastewater Collection System Modifications Tysons, Virginia using the Construction Manager AtRisk (CMAR) method of project delivery. Included in the pre-construction scope of services is collaboration with the design engineer during the design phase, attendance of design coordination meetings, constructability reviews, value engineering guidance, construction scheduling, development and negotiation of a guaranteed maximum price (GMP) proposal for construction services with the Owner. If GMP negotiations are successful, the County will amend the contract to include the GMP. DPWES is interested in firms with qualifications in the following activities: Construction Management of similar civil and environmental projects, Design and Constructability Reviews, Subcontractor Procurement Planning, Utility Coordination, Document Management, Partnering Meetings, Materials and Equipment Procurement Planning, Creating comprehensive construction cost estimates with trade breakdowns (e.g., concrete, steel, major equipment, electrical, mechanical, HVAC, etc.) that can be tracked based on unit costs and unit pricing, Provide construction schedule summaries and updates throughout the project to keep the Owner fully apprised of the project schedule, Survey experience, Building Information Modeling and 3-D design expertise, Pump station and force main expertise in civil, mechanical, structural, architectural, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical disciplines which meet HI and VSCAT requirements.
