Specifications include, but are not limited to: Christopher Newport University (CNU) currently has an outdoor tennis facility comprised of six (6) courts with a walk way between the two sets of three. The courts are used for practice and play in NCAA, USTA, and ITA for both Men’s and Women’s Tennis as well as for recreational use. Total footprint of the area is approximately 247’ x 164’. CNU’s tennis facility is located on Prince Drew Road on the Christopher Newport University campus and is available for public viewing and examination. GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF NEEDS: • Crack repair of existing courts 1-6. Total crack space is approximately 350 linear feet. Contractor is responsible for final measurement. • Cracks shall be filled/repaired to consistency that best meets NCAA, ITA and USTA Tennis competition standards. • Repaired areas shall be touched up with color to the closest shade of existing CNU Blue as well as Green and White, as needed. • Repairs must be accomplished when conditions and temperatures are consistent with the repair agents and materials are suited. • Contractor must submit a minimum of three (3) similar projects of size and scope using the best products and materials available with a minimum 2-year warranty. Submit each project with all information, name of project, owner, contract contact email, phone number. • Contractor shall be Tennis Court Builder certified by ASBA (American Sports Builders Association) or similar association. • The Vendor Data Sheet must be completed and submitted with bid. • Contractor must complete the repair as soon as possible as soon, working with CNU project managers on work scheduling. • Contractor must submit a statement on their company letterhead verifying when they can begin work if awarded and the number of days to complete the project and the warranty for crack repair.
