Specifications include, but are not limited to: INSPECTIONS Contractor shall provide two (2) inspections to each system per year. All work must be performed in compliance with the Statewide Fire Prevention Code NFPA17A. Every fire alarm must be sounded in compliance with NFPA101. Locations of all current range hood systems are listed in Exhibit A to IFB 2019-068. Contractor shall service twenty-seven (27) School locations, as well as seven (7) systems located at the Western Virginia Regional Jail. Roanoke County reserves the right to add or remove locations as is necessary. Inspections of Roanoke County Public Schools equipment should take place during the months of February and August. Existing equipment includes the following manufacturers: Ansul, Range Guide, and Pyro Chem. Contractor should be manufacturer certified to work on the equipment specified. CLEANING One complete cleaning shall be completed per year at each location specified herein. All work must be performed in accordance with the NFPA pamphlet 96 and any other applicable State and Local codes. Fans must be removed, cleaned, and reinstalled in working order, unless such fans are built into the range hood and cannot be removed. If fans cannot be removed for this reason, they must be thoroughly cleaned and left in working order. Ducts must be cleaned from the bottom up, and from the top down, with a degreaser (not a powder). The schedule for cleaning will be coordinated in advance with the Contract Administrator. REPAIRS Repairs shall be made as needed, based on the pricing provided in the Contractor’s bid response. Contractor must receive approval of proposed repairs from the Contract Administrator or designee prior to completion. All repairs must be performed in compliance with the relevant current NFPA requirements.
