Specifications include, but are not limited to: 3.1.2.1 An increase to the gymnasium/PE area accomplished by the addition of an auxiliary gymnasium to accommodate the core capacity noted herein; 3.1.2.2 The ability of the cafeteria area to accommodate one full grade level and the cafeteria serving lines. Design should consider and include increased food storage and serving infrastructure required to provide adequate services with the increased core capacity noted; 3.1.2.3 Additional parking and a redesign of the bus loop to accommodate additional staff, parent drop-off, pickup and parking, and bus capacity in the front of the school building. The current design can be viewed in the county’s GIS system under GPIN 6899-13-8590-000. 3.1.2.4 Expansion of the main office to provide space for additional staff needed to support the larger student population. The office redesign shall include a secured entry/access vestibule for the main school entrance; 3.1.2.5 The academic addition designed to include 12 to 14 classrooms, with the necessary teacher resource areas. In an effort to standardize and maintain consistency with the rest of the CLMS classrooms, basic classroom sizes for this expansion shall be approximately 22’ X 27-29’ for the standard classroom, with two science lab classrooms approximately 24’ X 26’. 3.1.2.6 The awarded Firm must design learning spaces for special education students in a way that accommodates the needs of those students, with access focused on the first floor. 3.1.2.8 Adequate custodial/utility and teacher and support areas to consider efficiency as a result of the increased footprint of the building.
