Specifications include, but are not limited to: A. Complete certification and calibration of radar units twice a year. Currently, the Chesapeake Police Department has 75 radar units. Radar units may be added or deleted from this contract as needed by the City. A full listing of our current units can be found in Attachment A. B. All certifications and calibrations shall meet or exceed the standards set by Section 46.2-882 of the Code of Virginia in addition to Section 2.2-1112 of the Code of Virginia as set by Commonwealth of Virginia Division of Purchases and Supply (DPS) has established this standard for RADAR (Radio Detection and Ranging) for use by Law Enforcement Authorities of the Commonwealth of Virginia for the measurement of the speed of motor vehicles. C. Make repairs as necessary per manufacturer recommendations. Repairs shall be preauthorized by the Chesapeake Police Department. D. All parts shall carry the full manufacturer’s warranty. All labor shall be warrantied in accordance with the authorized repair centers policy. A copy of all warranties shall be supplied with each repair. E. Provide two (2) certified copies of the calibration upon completion to the Chesapeake Police Department. F. Shall be authorized by Kustom Signals, Inc. to provide maintenance, calibrations and repairs. G. Be located within 30 miles of the Chesapeake Police Headquarters located at 304 Albemarle Drive, Chesapeake, VA 23322. H. Invoices shall be submitted to the Chesapeake Police Department promptly, but not later than the 10th of the month following the month service was provided. This term shall apply to each month with the exception of the month of June. All invoices for the ending fiscal year shall be submitted no later than June 30th of each year.
