Specifications include, but are not limited to: seeking a long-term partnership with a video transcription, closed captioning, or CART (Communication Access Realtime Translation) service provider to provide accurate, real-time speech to text captions for live online classes, seminars, workshops, and other events ; 1. Contractor shall provide online scheduling interface where University staff can log in and schedule events to be captioned. ; 3. Contractor must be capable of typing along with the University presenter a. The University presenter could be an instructor, staff or students b. Classes and events can consist of lectures with one presenter or seminars with multiple presenters/speakers. 4. Contractor must be able to provide an online link to a caption window where students/participants can see the text as the Contractor types a. Text must be synchronized in real-time to the University presenter’s vocal presentation b. University participants and students must be able to adjust the font size, font color, and background color of the text window c. University participants, students, and staff must be able to download a complete transcript (i.e. PDF) at the end of the event/class d. The Contractor shall provide an SRT file for ODU staff after the event e. Text/caption should be accessible from all standard web browsers, i.e. IE, Safari, Firefox, Chrome, etc., all mobile devices, i.e. IOS, Android, etc., and all operating systems, i.e. Microsoft Windows, macOS, and Linux ; Captions should average 99% accuracy 6. Contractor must be able to describe the server redundancy of their data center, in terms of the reliability of systems and web servers/services providing the online text/captions window. 7. Contractor must be able to describe the qualifications and certifications of their transcriptionists. a. To include how the accuracy of transcriptionists are validated.
