Specifications include, but are not limited to: The contractor shall supply a range of hourly rates for cabling services to include the labor and all incidental materials for the installing the structured cabling products necessary to support existing and new installations as ordered by the City of Hampton. Three categories of rates for services are required: 1. Installation, termination and testing of copper cabling (generally includes Category 5e/Category 6 and fiber) including documented testing and certification of cable 2. Installation, termination and testing of fiber optic cabling including documented testing and certification of fiber 3. Labeling and tracing existing or new cabling 4. Core drilling or otherwise building penetration 5. Underground cable/fiber installation to include conduit installation with tracer wire/pull cord and direct buried 6. Other cabling services to include but not limited to the installation, termination and testing of copper backbone cabling, performance of miscellaneous cabling services and removal of abandoned cabling. Each of the hourly rate ranges is to incorporate all labor costs associated with the provisioning and installation of the products and materials specified. Labor costs will include tools, suspension hardware (J-supports, cable ties, and miscellaneous hardware to facilitate the installation) cable routing hardware (D-rings, etc.) cord management hardware, testing, documentation, and any incidental materials required to provide a turnkey cabling solution. Labor rates do not include the actual copper and fiber cables, connecting blocks, jacks, faceplates, patch cords, inner duct, racks, cable trays, fiber cabinets, patch panels and plywood backboards. These items will be quoted on each SOW and provided as part of this contract.
