Specifications include, but are not limited to: The contractor shall furnish all labor, supervision, equipment, tools, parts and materials, as necessary, to service one full time permanent HHW collection facility located in Suffolk and operated six days per week and periodic disposal services at a facility in Chesapeake. Service will involve assisting SPSA with waste disposal, staff training and program maintenance necessary to operate the collection facilities. SPSA will staff and operate the facilities for designated hours within the established operating hours of the SPSA sites. The Contractor will be responsible for the final classification, packaging, transportation and disposal of received HHW on an as needed basis. Waste collected by the contractor will be primarily recycled, treated or incinerated and will be landfilled only as a last option. The Contractor must agree to act as the generator and is responsible for keeping accurate records of the type and amount of waste shipped and for completing all pertinent legal documentation, including, but not limited to, the Uniform Manifest and Department of Transportation (DOT) shipping papers.
