Specifications include, but are not limited to: A. The contractor shall provide all necessary labor, equipment, transportation, materials and incidentals for hauling and disposal of scrap tires from the Louisa County Landfill, located at 807 Moorefield Road, Mineral, VA 23117. B. The contractor shall provide a container with a minimum trailer length of forty-five (45) feet. C. The contractor shall provide weigh tickets verifying empty and full weight of containers. The contractor is required to submit tickets to assigned County personnel within five (5) business days after pickup. D. Methods of disposal/recycling shall be in accordance with, but not limited to, Virginia Solid Waste Management Regulations, Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Virginia Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ), Federal, state, and local policies and regulations. E. Any expense incurred for improper disposal/recycling shall be the sole responsibility of the contractor. F. The contractor shall provide hauling and disposal services to the County on an “as needed” basis. Assigned County personnel will notify the contractor when pickup is needed and the contractor shall pickup tires within forty-eight (48) hours from notification that the trailer is full. Replacement of an empty container at the time of pickup is required. If the tires are not retrieved and the container is not empty within 48 hours of the assignment, $100 will be deducted from the contractor’s billed services for payment.
