Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Fairfield Area Library is generally described as a 44,800 gross square foot, two story building designed to replace the existing Fairfield Area Library. The project site is a 10.24-acre parcel at 1401 N. Laburnum Ave, Henrico, Virginia 23223. The building’s structural steel frame rests on concrete foundations. The exterior walls are a combination of veneer / cladding systems on light gauge steel stud assemblies connected to the steel frame. The roofs are a combination of low slope membrane roofs and steep sloped standing seam metal roofs. Fenestration includes both aluminum curtain wall and storefront assemblies. Site work includes, but is not limited to grading, utility, storm water, and landscape / hardscape improvements as required to construct new vehicular access roads, parking areas, and a series of pedestrian-scaled spaces. Widening and related improvements to Laburnum Avenue, Extension of Watts’s Lane and New Traffic light at their intersection. The Project is designed to comply with a Silver Certification Level according to the U.S. Green Building Council's Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED) Rating System
