Specifications include, but are not limited to: A. A pre-employment physical examination program. B. A medical surveillance program (i.e., follow-up treatment for which employees are monitored due to exposure to hazardous materials, infectious diseases, etc.). C. A vaccine and immunization program. D. Evaluation of employee’s ability to perform essential job functions following an injury or illness, or at the City’s request following an extended leave of absence. E. Functional capacity assessments of employees who have requested a reasonable accommodation. F. Medical evaluation of employees to determine eligibility to participate in the City’s shared leave, family medical leave and disability placement and separation programs. G. Annual examinations for certain employees identified by the City’s Director of Human Resources, including National Firefight Protection Association (NFPA) 582-compliant medical examinations for sworn Fire personnel.
