Specifications include, but are not limited to: Primary Objective The selected firm will provide professional engineering services for the development of Neighborhood Water and Sewer Facilities. Typical tasks may include: • Planning Phase - condition assessment, data collection, study, hydraulic modeling, alternatives analysis, construction cost and life cycle cost estimating, report preparation and submission of recommendations for water distribution and wastewater collection systems. • Design Phase - Geotechnical engineering; subsurface utility engineering (SUE); topographic surveying; Geographic Information Systems (GIS) utilization; HVAC, mechanical and electrical engineering; preparation of construction contract documents; QA/QC reviews; site plan review submittal and regulatory reviews. • Construction Phase – Assistance with advertisement, bidding, RFIs and shop drawing review; periodic construction inspection; attendance at monthly progress meetings; construction management services. • Miscellaneous Services - Economic analysis, miscellaneous design, and other tasks as assigned.
