Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Trap and confine stray, unlicensed cats (cats without collars, tags, microchips, or tipped or notched ears). 2. Be available 7 days a week. 3. Scan cats for microchips, check tags, and make a reasonable attempt to return to owner. 4. Transfer injured cats to Animal Control Officers or to a local veterinarian. 5. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. 6. Report cats with identification tags and/or microchips to Hampton Animal Control. 7. Compile a report tracking the date, location where the cat was picked up, number of cats picked up, description, and whether the animal was friendly, feral, deceased, and/or returned to owner. 8. Complete reports and records by maintaining documents in accordance with state and local laws, documenting any problems that occur. 9. Complete each report by the end of the month. 10. Transport stray, unlicensed, healthy cats to the Peninsula Regional Animal Shelter and transport stray, unlicensed, injured/sick animals to Hampton Animal Control.
